Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 104:8

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
No sheriff, deputy sheriff or constable is disqualified to serve a writ or other precept in which a town or other corporation is a party by reason of his being a citizen of the town or a member of the corporation.
