Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 155:37

  • Prosecute: To charge someone with a crime. A prosecutor tries a criminal case on behalf of the government.
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
The law enforcing authorities of the state, counties or any city or town, are authorized to prosecute any violations of this act.
