Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 15:10
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- person: may extend and be applied to bodies corporate and politic as well as to individuals. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:9
- Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
No person shall be excused from testifying in a proceeding instituted against another person under the foregoing sections for the reason that he might thereby incriminate himself; but no testimony so given by him shall be used directly or indirectly as evidence against him in any prosecution, nor shall he be prosecuted for any offenses so disclosed by him.
