Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 166:22
- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
- Mortgage: The written agreement pledging property to a creditor as collateral for a loan.
Such lien shall be subordinate to mortgage and other valid liens, recorded with the register of deeds prior to the recording of the notice of lien referred to in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 166:20.
