Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 169-A:8
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.

Any judge of this state who appoints counsel or guardian ad litem pursuant to the provisions of the compact may, in his discretion, fix a fee which shall be a charge against the county if ordered by the superior court and if ordered by a municipal court said fee shall be paid out of funds collected by the court as provided in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 502:14, provided, however, that no fee shall exceed the sum of $100.
