Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 172:6

  • Advice and consent: Under the Constitution, presidential nominations for executive and judicial posts take effect only when confirmed by the Senate, and international treaties become effective only when the Senate approves them by a two-thirds vote.
The governor, with the advice and consent of the council, shall appoint an office director in accordance with N.H. Rev. Stat. § 4:12. The director shall be compensated in accordance with RSA 94.
