The school board shall thereupon order a hearing within 10 days thereafter, and, if it shall appear to the board that the claim is well-founded, the board shall make the order prayed for, and the district in which the pupil resides shall be liable to the school to which the pupil is assigned for the pupil’s tuition not to exceed in any one year a sum based upon the costs as set forth in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 194:27.
