There is created within the department of safety, division of fire safety, the classified, full-time position of hazardous materials incident response coordinator. The position shall be at labor grade 23. The coordinator shall be appointed by the state fire marshal and shall oversee the preparedness of the state’s regional hazardous materials response teams as provided in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 21-P:12, III.
