Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 227-L:3
- Department: means the department of natural and cultural resources. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 227-G:2
- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
If sites or rights of way necessary for the maintenance and effective operation of forest fire towers, fire trails, or lines cannot be acquired by gift or purchase, the department shall have the right to acquire the same under the power of eminent domain, and the value shall be determined as provided in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 227-H:3, II.
