- Fee simple: Absolute title to property with no limitations or restrictions regarding the person who may inherit it.
- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
The commissioner is hereby authorized to take whatever steps are necessary in order to determine the absolute fee simple title ownership of all such rail properties of any railroad within the state of New Hampshire. Such determination is to include the status of such rail properties with respect to easements, rights-of-way, leases, reversionary rights, fee simple title ownership, and any and all title matters. The commissioner may retain such experts or other assistants as may be necessary to make these title determinations.
