- petition: when used in connection with the equity jurisdiction of the superior court, and referring to a document filed with the court, shall mean complaint, and "petitioner" shall mean plaintiff. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:51
Upon petition of any persons interested, notice to the county commissioners and a hearing thereon, the superior court may order such part of the expense of making and repairing highways through such land as may seem just to be paid by the county; and may, upon like proceedings, modify the order, as may from time to time appear proper.
