- governing body: shall mean the board of selectmen in a town, the board of aldermen or council in a city or town with a town council, the school board in a school district or the village district commissioners in a village district, or when used to refer to unincorporated towns or unorganized places, or both, the county commissioners. For the purposes of this subdivision the location of junk yards or automotive recycling yards already established are considered approved by the local governing body of the municipality where located and the owner of the yard considered suitable for the issuance of a license. Within 60 days from the passage of this subdivision, however, the owner shall furnish the local governing body the information as to location which is required in an application, together with the license fee, and the local governing body shall issue him a license valid until April 1, 1966, at which time the owner may apply for a renewal. The owner shall comply with all other provisions of this subdivision including the fencing requirements set forth in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 236:123.
