I. Every applicant for or holder of a driver education certificate or school license shall notify the director within 5 business days by certified mail, return receipt requested, of being arrested, indicted, or summonsed to court in this or any other state or foreign jurisdiction as a defendant for an offense under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 265:79, N.H. Rev. Stat. § 265:79-a, N.H. Rev. Stat. § 265:79-b, N.H. Rev. Stat. § 265-A:2, N.H. Rev. Stat. § 265-A:3, or N.H. Rev. Stat. § 265-A:43, or any offense under RSA 630, RSA 631, or RSA 632-A. If employed or under contract to a school or school district, the licensee, certificate holder, or applicant shall provide a copy of the notification made to the director to the principal or equivalent chief administrator of the school in like manner and time frame.
II. Every applicant for or holder of a driver education certificate or school license shall notify the director within 5 business days by certified mail, return receipt requested, of being convicted of any offense other than a parking violation under Title XXI or RSA 630, RSA 631, or N.H. Rev. Stat. Chapter 632-A or an equivalent offense in another jurisdiction, or if his or her license or privilege to drive a motor vehicle has been suspended or revoked in this or any other jurisdiction. If employed or under contract to a school or school district, the applicant, licensee, or certificate holder shall provide a copy of the notification made to the director to the principal or equivalent chief administrator of the school within 5 business days by certified mail, return receipt requested.
II. Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 263:46-a
- Certificate: shall mean :
I. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 259:9 - Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
- Director: shall mean the director of the division of motor vehicles of the department of safety. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 259:20
- Driver: shall mean a person who drives or is in actual physical control of a motor vehicle as defined in N. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 259:25
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- License: shall mean any driver's license or any other license or permit to drive a vehicle issued under the laws of this state or a reciprocating state including:
