Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 264:4
- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Director: shall mean the director of the division of motor vehicles of the department of safety. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 259:20
Such security, when ordered, shall be in such form and amount as the director may require, but in no case in excess of the amount of actual damages, as determined to the satisfaction of the director, or in excess of the amount of proof of financial responsibility required under this chapter. Proof of responsibility as prescribed in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 264:20 shall in all cases be deemed sufficient.
