I. All motorcycles are entitled to the full use of a lane and no motor vehicle shall be driven in such a manner as to deprive any motorcycle of the full use of a lane; provided, however, that 2 motorcycles may ride abreast in a single lane.
II. The driver of a motorcycle shall not overtake and pass in the same lane occupied by the vehicle being overtaken.
III. No person shall drive a motorcycle on a roadway between lanes of traffic or between adjacent lines or rows of vehicles.
IV. Motorcycles shall not be driven more than 2 abreast in a single lane.
V. Paragraphs II and III shall not apply to police officers in the performance of their official duties.
VI. No person riding upon a motorcycle shall attach himself or the motorcycle to any other vehicle, except a sidecar, on the roadway.

- Driver: shall mean a person who drives or is in actual physical control of a motor vehicle as defined in N. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 259:25
- Motor vehicle: shall mean :
I. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 259:60 - Motorcycle: shall mean every motor vehicle having a seat or saddle for the use of the rider and designed to travel on not more than 3 wheels in contact with the ground, but excluding electric bicycles, tractors, and mopeds. - Person: shall mean the same as provided in N. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 259:74
- roadway: means that portion of a way improved, designed, or ordinarily used for vehicular travel, including the berm or shoulder where such berm or shoulder is used by persons riding bicycles or other human powered vehicles. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 259:75-b
- Sidecar: shall mean a one-wheel attachment to a motorcycle. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 259:99
- Traffic: shall mean pedestrians, ridden or herded animals, vehicles, streetcars, and other conveyances either singly or together while using any way for purposes of travel. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 259:110
- Vehicle: shall mean :
