Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 266:78
- Motorcycle: shall mean every motor vehicle having a seat or saddle for the use of the rider and designed to travel on not more than 3 wheels in contact with the ground, but excluding electric bicycles, tractors, and mopeds. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 259:63

Every motorcycle driven upon the ways of this state shall have footrests for each person driving or riding upon the same and a rear view mirror. Three-wheel scooters with enclosed cabs shall be exempt from the requirements for footrests.
