Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 270:115
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- person: means any individual, firm, co-partnership, corporation, company, association or joint-stock association, including any trustee, administrator, executor, receiver, assignee or other personal representative thereof. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 270:2
- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
The department of safety, division of state police, shall post at all boat launching sites on the Connecticut River, within the jurisdiction of the state, a speed limit of headway speed within 150 feet of the shoreline. Any person who violates the posted speed limits shall be guilty of a violation.
