Any person violating the provisions of N.H. Rev. Stat. § 270:31 shall be subject to the following penalties:
I. If the offense occurs prior to November 1, 1973, he shall be fined not more than $25 for each offense.
II. If the offense occurs on or after November 1, 1973, he shall be guilty of a violation for each offense.
III. The director of state police may prohibit further scuba activity, in addition to the penalties prescribed in either paragraph I or II, until the provisions of N.H. Rev. Stat. § 270:31 have been complied with.

Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 270:32
- following: when used by way of reference to any section of these laws, shall mean the section next preceding or following that in which such reference is made, unless some other is expressly designated. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:13
- person: means any individual, firm, co-partnership, corporation, company, association or joint-stock association, including any trustee, administrator, executor, receiver, assignee or other personal representative thereof. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 270:2
- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
