- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
If any provision of this subdivision or the application of such provision to any person or circumstances is held invalid the remainder of this subdivision or the application of such provision to persons or circumstances other than those as to which it is held invalid shall not be affected thereby.
