  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
Any claim or question involved in a determination may be referred by the certifying officer to an appeal tribunal, and such appeal tribunal shall make its decision with respect thereto in accordance with the procedure described in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 282-A:53-58.
