I. No ticket shall be sold at a price greater than that fixed by the commission, nor shall a sale be made by any person other than a licensed sales agent. Any person who violates this section shall be subject to the sanctions of each respective party state‘s lottery statutes.
II. No ticket shall be sold to any person under 18 years of age, but this shall not be deemed to prohibit the purchase of a ticket for the purpose of making a gift by a person 18 years of age or older to a person under 18 years of age. Any licensee or the employee or agent of any licensee who sells or offers to sell a ticket to any person under 18 years of age shall be subject to the sanctions of each respective party state’s lottery statutes.

Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 287-F:8

  • following: when used by way of reference to any section of these laws, shall mean the section next preceding or following that in which such reference is made, unless some other is expressly designated. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:13
  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies corporate and politic as well as to individuals. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:9
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4

III. No ticket shall be sold to and no prize shall be paid to any of the following persons:
(a) Any member, officer or employee of the commission; or
(b) Any spouse, child, brother, sister or parent residing as a member of the same household in the principal place of abode of any of the persons listed in subparagraph (a).
