I. Any school, college or university which is supported by money which is appropriated by the state or by any city, town or school district shall not be open for regular instructional purposes on Veterans Day as established in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 288:1 and as observed as provided in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 288:2. Any person who permits or authorizes such school, college or university to be open in violation of this section shall be guilty of a violation.
II. Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph I, any school, college or university may observe either the federal Memorial Day or the state holiday on May 30.
