Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 304-B:6

  • Limited partnership: and "domestic limited partnership" mean a partnership formed by 2 or more persons under the laws of this state and having one or more general partners and one or more limited partners. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 304-B:1
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • State: means a state, territory, or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 304-B:1
  • Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
A limited partnership may carry on any business that a partnership without limited partners may carry on, except any association formed under any other statute of this state, or formed under any statute adopted by authority, other than the authority of this state, is not a limited partnership under this chapter, unless such association was a limited partnership in this state prior to the adoption of this chapter.
