Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 309-B:20

  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies corporate and politic as well as to individuals. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:9
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
Application by a person or a firm not a resident of this state for a certificate under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 309-B:7 or a license to practice under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 309-B:8 shall constitute appointment of the secretary of state as the applicant’s agent upon whom process may be served in any action or proceeding against the applicant arising out of any transaction or operation connected with or incidental to services performed by the applicant while a licensee within this state.
