I. The office of professional licensure and certification shall be empowered to appoint such inspectors as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this chapter. Any person so employed shall be under the administration and supervisory direction of the office of professional licensure and certification.
II. An inspector appointed under this section shall have authority to enter any premises in which an electrical installation subject to rules adopted under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 319-C:6-a is being installed, replaced or repaired for the purpose of making such inspection as is necessary to carry out his responsibilities under this section.

  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies corporate and politic as well as to individuals. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:9
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4

III. The inspector may order the removal or correction of any violation of any rule adopted under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 319-C:6-a, and may order any public utility furnishing electricity to such installation to disconnect the same until the violations are corrected.
IV. Whenever an inspector orders the removal or correction of a violation under paragraph III, he shall immediately notify the local building inspection department or administrative authority of the town where the violation is located, and further order that all work related to correction of the violation be discontinued. The local building authority shall approve the continuation of work on the installation upon being satisfied that any violations have been corrected and shall notify the inspector of such approval.
V. A state, city, or town building official or code enforcement officer appointed by the administrative authority of the state, city, or town, who performs electrical inspections authorized in accordance with N.H. Rev. Stat. § 155-A:2, IV, N.H. Rev. Stat. § 155-A:2, VI, N.H. Rev. Stat. § 47:22, or N.H. Rev. Stat. § 674:51 shall have the authority to check the license or identification card issued under this chapter.
