In this chapter:
I. “Nurse agency” means any individual, firm, corporation, partnership or other legal entity that employs, assigns or refers nurses or licensed nursing assistants to a health care facility on a per diem or temporary basis for a fee. The term “nurse agency” includes an agency that employs, assigns, or refers such personnel through the use of apps or other technology based solutions or platforms. The term “nurse agency” shall not include services provided by home health agencies licensed and operated under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 151:2-b, any entity wholly owned by a health care facility or facilities separately licensed under RSA 151, nor shall it include any individual offering only his or her services.
II. “Director” means the executive director of the office of professional licensure and certification.

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
