I. A resident individual applying for an insurance producer license shall pass a written examination unless exempt pursuant to N.H. Rev. Stat. § 402-J:9. The examination shall test the knowledge of the individual concerning the lines of authority for which application is made, the duties and responsibilities of an insurance producer and the insurance laws and regulations of this state. Examinations required by this section shall be developed and conducted under title XXXVII and rules adopted by the commissioner.
II. The commissioner may make arrangements, including contracting with an outside testing service, for administering examinations and collecting the nonrefundable fee set forth in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 400-A:29.

Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 402-J:5

  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4

III. Each individual applying for an examination shall remit a nonrefundable fee as prescribed by the commissioner as set forth in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 400-A:29.
IV. An individual who fails to appear for the examination as scheduled or fails to pass the examination, shall reapply for an examination and remit all required fees and forms before being rescheduled for another examination.
