Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 417:13

  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies corporate and politic as well as to individuals. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:9
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
If any person violates a cease and desist order issued by the commissioner pursuant to N.H. Rev. Stat. § 417:12, the commissioner may suspend, revoke, or refuse to renew the license of that person. The commissioner in the commissioner’s discretion, in addition to or in lieu of such suspension, revocation, or refusal to renew, may impose upon that person an administrative penalty of not more than $2,500 for each method of competition, act, or practice found to be in violation of this chapter pursuant to N.H. Rev. Stat. § 417:12. The commissioner shall collect the amount so imposed and may bring an action in the name of the state to enforce collection.
