Terms used in this subdivision shall be construed as follows unless a different meaning is clearly apparent from the language or context:
I. “Person” means any person, firm, partnership, corporation, or association.
II. “Retail” means selling direct to a consumer.
III. “Candling” means the common practice of examining the interior of an egg by holding and twirling the same before a bright light passing through an aperture in an opaque shield.
IV. “Eggs” shall mean hens’ eggs.

Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 428:22
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- person: may extend and be applied to bodies corporate and politic as well as to individuals. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:9
