Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 434:53
- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
- Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
Whenever suit is instituted upon any such bond, service shall be made upon the secretary of state, as the resident agent of nonresident and bonded resident licensees, and there shall be given to him, by the sheriff serving the same, an extra copy of the writ or document served, together with $.25 for filing and docketing the same.
