Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 463:23

  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
  • real estate: shall include lands, tenements, and hereditaments, and all rights thereto and interests therein. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:21
If a minor is seized of an undivided fractional part of real estate, the court may authorize the guardian of the estate to purchase any other fractional part of the real estate whenever it will be conducive to the minor’s interests to do so; and when so licensed, the guardian of the estate may make the purchase and use funds of the minor to pay the purchase money.
