Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 479:14
- Mortgagee: The person to whom property is mortgaged and who has loaned the money.
- Mortgagor: The person who pledges property to a creditor as collateral for a loan and who receives the money.
- petition: when used in connection with the equity jurisdiction of the superior court, and referring to a document filed with the court, shall mean complaint, and "petitioner" shall mean plaintiff. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:51
If the mortgagee shall unreasonably refuse or neglect to make out and deliver such account, the superior court, upon petition by the mortgagor setting forth the facts in the case and upon due notice given to the parties interested, shall determine the amount justly due after deducting rents and profits received.
