Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 484:15
- Advice and consent: Under the Constitution, presidential nominations for executive and judicial posts take effect only when confirmed by the Senate, and international treaties become effective only when the Senate approves them by a two-thirds vote.

- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
After the aforesaid compact shall become effective and operative as previously provided, the governor, with the advice and consent of the council, shall designate or appoint a person to serve as a member of the Northeastern Resources Commission. Said commissioner shall serve for a term of 4 years. Any vacancy in said office shall be filled for the remainder of the unexpired term.
