Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 4:9-r

  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
If the monument created pursuant to N.H. Rev. Stat. § 4:9-p is built on property not owned by the state of New Hampshire, the property owner shall protect, indemnify, and hold harmless the state of New Hampshire from any civil claim or suit involving the monument and any costs, damages, awards, judgments, or settlements arising from said claim or suit.
