(a) The governing documents may prescribe qualifications for protectors.
(b) Unless the governing documents provide otherwise, a protector may be:
(1) An individual or an entity; and
(2) A resident of any jurisdiction and need not be a resident of this state.

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
