Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 5:10
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- following: when used by way of reference to any section of these laws, shall mean the section next preceding or following that in which such reference is made, unless some other is expressly designated. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:13
- justice: when applied to a magistrate, shall mean a justice of a municipal court, or a justice of the peace having jurisdiction over the subject-matter. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:12
- seal: shall include an impression of the official seal made upon the paper alone, as well as an impression thereof made by means of wax, or a wafer, affixed thereto. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:11

- Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
Except as otherwise provided, the following fees shall be paid to the secretary of state for the use of the state: For every commission issued to a justice of the peace or to a notary public, $75, $25 of which shall be deposited into the fund established by N.H. Rev. Stat. § 5:10-b; for every certificate pertaining to the existence of a corporation, trade name, or other business entity, or writ served on the same, $5; for every such certificate in long form, $10; for every apostille provided under the Hague Convention of 1961 and for every certificate for a notary public or justice of the peace, $10; for every other certificate under seal of the state, $5; for engrossing private acts, $1 for each page of 240 words; for expedited service of every 10 documents or any part thereof, $25.
