Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 616:7

  • justice: when applied to a magistrate, shall mean a justice of a municipal court, or a justice of the peace having jurisdiction over the subject-matter. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:12
In actions for the recovery of a penalty before a justice, it shall be no cause of exception that the justice resides or has property within the town in which the offense was committed, nor that the penalty or any part thereof may belong to the town.
