- Clerk of court: An officer appointed by the court to work with the chief judge in overseeing the court's administration, especially to assist in managing the flow of cases through the court and to maintain court records.
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- petition: when used in connection with the equity jurisdiction of the superior court, and referring to a document filed with the court, shall mean complaint, and "petitioner" shall mean plaintiff. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:51
No discharge shall be granted pursuant to N.H. Rev. Stat. § 618:10 unless the petition shall be approved by the county attorney, or it shall appear to the court that the county attorney has been served with a copy of the petition, and that notice has been given to him of the time and place when and where the petition is to be presented to the court at least 10 days before the hearing upon the petition, and the petition, evidence and order of the court shall be filed in the office of the clerk of court.
