“Local legislative body” means one of the following basic forms of government utilized by a municipality:
I. Council, whether city or town;
II. Mayor-council;
III. Mayor-board of aldermen;
IV. Village district or precinct;
V. Town meeting; or
VI. County convention.

Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 672:8
- following: when used by way of reference to any section of these laws, shall mean the section next preceding or following that in which such reference is made, unless some other is expressly designated. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:13
