- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
When endorsing the state‘s guarantee on any bond or note issued by any political subdivision of the state, the state treasurer may cause such guarantee to be executed with an engraved or printed facsimile of the treasurer’s signature in lieu of a signature. Such facsimile shall have the same effect as the manual signature of the state treasurer.
