Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 75:7
- Appraisal: A determination of property value.
- following: when used by way of reference to any section of these laws, shall mean the section next preceding or following that in which such reference is made, unless some other is expressly designated. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:13
- justice: when applied to a magistrate, shall mean a justice of a municipal court, or a justice of the peace having jurisdiction over the subject-matter. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:12
- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
The selectmen and assessors shall take and subscribe upon the copies or original inventories and assessments of both resident and nonresident taxes, furnished by them to the town clerks in their respective towns, to be recorded in the clerk’s records, the following oath, which may be subscribed before any justice of the peace or notary public: We, the selectmen and assessors of __________ , certify under the penalty of perjury that in making the inventory for the purpose of assessing the foregoing taxes all taxable property was appraised to the best of our knowledge and belief at its full value, in accordance with state appraisal standards.
