- state: when applied to different parts of the United States, may extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall include said district and territories. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:4
The expense of such appraisal shall be a charge upon the estate of the decedent, as an expense of administration, in all cases where an inventory and appraisal has not been filed as provided in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 87:18; otherwise the expense shall be paid by the state treasurer.
