Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes > Chapter 227-J - Timber Harvesting

  • Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
  • Basal area: means the cross sectional area of a tree measured at a height of 4
    1/2 feet above the ground, usually expressed in square feet per acre for a stand of trees. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 227-G:2

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
