Terms Used In Tennessee Code 33-6-605

  • Hospital: means a public or private hospital or facility or part of a hospital or facility equipped to provide inpatient care and treatment for persons with mental illness or serious emotional disturbance. See Tennessee Code 33-1-101
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
  • Person: includes a corporation, firm, company or association. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
(1)

(A) the person does not request judicial review of the discharge plan, OR
(B) the court approves an outpatient treatment plan after a hearing under § 33-6-604,

THEN

(b) IF

(1)

(A) the person is subject to judicial review under § 33-6-708,

THEN

(B) the person shall be discharged in conformity with § 33-6-708, AND
(c) IF

(1)

(A) the person is not subject to judicial review under § 33-6-708,

THEN

(B) the hospital shall discharge the person, AND
(2) the hospital shall notify the committing court that the person has been discharged subject to the obligation to participate in the outpatient treatment.
