It is unlawful for any person to do any of the following in connection with the sale, lease, rental, offer to sell, lease, rent or other disposition of water treatment devices:
Terms Used In Tennessee Code 47-18-1202
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
- Person: means any individual, partnership, firm, corporation or association, or any employee or agent thereof. See Tennessee Code 47-18-1201
- Water treatment device: means any product that:
(A) Is designed to alter the chemical or physical properties or characteristics of drinking water or plumbing, or which the seller, lessor or renter claims can alter the chemical or physical properties or characteristics of drinking water or plumbing.
