Terms Used In Tennessee Code 55-21-203

  • Driver: means :
    (A) For purposes of a conventionally operated vehicle, every person who drives or is in actual physical control of a vehicle. See Tennessee Code 55-8-101
  • Person: means an individual, firm, partnership, association, trustee, or corporation. See Tennessee Code 55-21-201
  • Refueling service: means the service of pumping gasoline into the fuel tank of a motor vehicle. See Tennessee Code 55-21-201

Every person subject to § 55-21-202 shall post the following notice in a manner and in a single location that is conspicuous to a driver seeking refueling service:

SERVICE TO DISABLED PERSONS

Disabled drivers properly displaying a handicapped parking placard or plate are entitled to request and receive refueling service at the self-service pumps of this gas station for which they may not be charged more than the self-service price.
