Terms Used In Tennessee Code 67-6-503
- Commissioner: means and includes the commissioner of revenue or the commissioner's duly authorized assistants. See Tennessee Code 67-6-102
- Retailer: means and includes every person engaged in the business of making sales at retail, or for distribution, use, consumption, storage to be used or consumed in this state or furnishing any of the things or services taxable under this chapter and every marketplace facilitator. - Sale: includes the furnishing of any of the things or services taxable under this chapter. See Tennessee Code 67-6-102
The commissioner may by regulation provide that the amount collected by the retailer from the consumer in reimbursement of the tax be displayed separately from the list price, the price advertised in the premises, the marked price, or other price on the sale check or other proof of sale.
