Terms Used In Tennessee Code 71-5-2304

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Person: includes a corporation, firm, company or association. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
  • Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105

The county legislative body may also contract with any person for the support of any or all the poor of the county, upon such terms as may be deemed reasonable, for a period not exceeding one (1) year.
