Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 17:23-39
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
2. Nothing in this act shall be construed to prescribe or impose corporate governance standards and internal procedures beyond that which is required under applicable State corporate law. Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in this act shall be construed to limit the commissioner’s authority, or the rights or obligations of third parties, under applicable law, including, but not limited to, the authority under P.L.1993, c.236 (C. 17:23-20 et seq.), section 5 of P.L.1970, c.22 (C. 17:27A-5), and sections 7 and 8 of P.L.2014, c.81 (C. 17:27A-5.1 and C. 17:27A-5.2).
