- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. Except as provided in N.J.S. 17B:26-28, each health insurance policy, other than group and blanket insurance, delivered or issued for delivery to any person in this State shall contain a provision or have attached to it a notice as follows:
Cancellation during first 10 days: During a period of 10 days after the date the policyholder receives the policy, the policyholder may cancel the policy and receive from the insurer a prompt refund of any premium paid therefor, including any policy fees or other charges, by mailing or otherwise surrendering the policy to the insurer together with a written request for cancellation.
